Alonza Barnett III shines in UCF debut during record-setting victory over Bethune-Cookman

Alonza Barnett III made his UCF debut in a record-setting 73-6 victory over Bethune-Cookman, setting a program record for the largest margin of victory. Barnett, who transferred from James Madison, threw for 158 yards and a touchdown, also added a rushing touchdown. The victory eclipsed a 64-point win over Grand Valley State in 1987. The Knights scored on their first three drives and 10 of their 12 overall, tying the program record set in a 2017 victory over Austin Peay. The team had nine different players score and sat many of their starters after the first drive of the second half.
