S&P Global Leads Kaiko Funding Round to $110 Million

Kaiko, founded in France in 2014, currently provides data covering more than 150 cryptocurrency exchanges and protocols.
The financing builds on Kaiko’s previous fundraising, including a $5 million seed round in 2019, a $24 million Series A in 2021 and a $53 million Series B in 2022, backed by investors such as Eight Roads and Revaia.
S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kaiko launched the co-branded S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices on Sept. 1, 2026, aimed at asset managers and financial institutions seeking structured digital-asset performance benchmarks for products such as ETFs and structured investments.
The companies’ collaboration has also included efforts to tokenize the iBoxx U.S. Treasuries Index on a blockchain, highlighting the partnership’s focus beyond cryptocurrency pricing data.
Kaiko CEO Ambre Soubiran characterized the new investors as strategic partners rather than merely shareholders, saying: “Together we will define how institutional money moves onchain.”
Kaiko, a Paris-based crypto data provider, has raised $110 million in a Series B extension led by S&P Global, bringing major Wall Street and crypto firms into its funding round. The round includes BNP Paribas, Broadridge, Coinbase Ventures, Nasdaq Ventures, Royal Bank of Canada, and others. Kaiko will use the money to expand its data services that connect blockchain activity with traditional financial data and smart contracts.
The investment marks a major step toward bridging Wall Street and crypto markets. Kaiko CEO Ambre Soubiran said the new investors are strategic partners, stating: "Together we will define how institutional money moves onchain." The company now covers more than 150 cryptocurrency exchanges and protocols.
S&P Global has deepened its ties with Kaiko through this investment. The two companies launched the S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices on September 1, 2026, giving asset managers and financial institutions a way to track crypto performance. S&P Global also worked with Kaiko to tokenize the iBoxx U.S. Treasuries Index on blockchain, showing the partnership goes beyond just cryptocurrency pricing.
Kaiko was founded in France in 2014 and has grown steadily through four major funding rounds. The company raised $5 million in seed funding in 2019, then $24 million in Series A in 2021, and $53 million in Series B in 2022 backed by Eight Roads and Revaia. This latest $57 million extension brings the Series B total to $110 million.
The funding growth reflects growing demand for reliable crypto market data. Institutions like banks and trading firms need accurate pricing from many exchanges at once. Kaiko's platform provides 24/7 coverage across major crypto venues.
This funding round includes a wide range of financial powerhouses. BNP Paribas, Royal Bank of Canada, and Broadridge joined crypto-native investors like Coinbase Ventures and Nasdaq Ventures. Bpifrance, a French government investment agency, and Susquehanna, a major trading firm, also participated, showing broad institutional support for Kaiko's mission.
Investors will join a Strategic Industry Working Group chaired by Kaiko. The group focuses on building data infrastructure for tokenized financial markets. This signals a shift toward using blockchain for traditional assets like bonds and stocks, not just cryptocurrencies.
