Former Arizona fraternity leader sentenced to jail time following fatal hazing incident.

Former Northern Arizona University fraternity leader, Carter Eslick, has been sentenced to two months in jail for his role in a hazing incident that led to the death of Colin Daniel Martinez, a student at Northern Arizona university. Eslic served as the Delta Tau Delta pledge master at the time of the incident and pleaded guilty to a felony hazing charge in Coconino County Superior Court. Martinez died from alcohol poisoning at a Delta TauDelta off-campus house due to alcohol poisoning, with his blood-alcohol content of 0.45% shortly after his death. The sentencing comes amid controversy surrounding the deaths of two students at Ole Miss and an alleged frat cocaine distribution ring at Penn State. One of the Ole Miss students found dead was a Phi Delta Theta fraternity brother.
