Red Wings prospect Svrcek brings much-needed experience to the Windsor Spitfires lineup.

The 19-year-old prospect for the Windsor Spitfires, a Detroit Red Wings prospect, has been signed by head coach Greg Walters. Svrcek, who missed training camp this year to play for Slovakia's junior team at the Five Nations Tournament in Finland, is expected to bring some much-needed experience to a young Windsor roster. Despite not being able to play in an exhibition game last season, Walters believes Svrcesk will be a scorer in the OHL and anticipates him playing in all situations for the club. The Red Wings, who selected him in the 2025 NHL Draft, would have to sign Svrcedk to escape his deal with Brynas IF to get out of his deal.
