The Hawks open their regular season on the road against St. John's on November 2. They will also face Wake Forest, Rhode Island, Cincinnati and other tournament-tested opponents. Assistant coach Brian Reese, who played alongside Rice at UNC, will also return to Chapel Hill for the contest. This demanding slate comes after Monmouth finished 19-15 last season and reached the CAA Championship game.
Monmouth women's basketball will open exhibition play on October 21 against Rider before beginning their regular season at home on November 2 against Binghamton University. The team will host 18 games at Dr. Marilyn A. McNeil Arena, according to Monmouth Athletics.
