Dan Brown is a co-creator of the series and will serve as an executive producer.
Rebecca Hall has joined Netflix's adaptation of Dan Brown's *The Secret of Secrets*, set to play Katherine Solomon opposite her real-life husband Morgan Spector, who stars as Robert Langdon, according to Fangirlish and Just Jared. The series marks the first time a Langdon story has come to Netflix, replacing Tom Hanks, who played the professor across three big-screen films.
The show is based on Brown's sixth Langdon novel, released in 2025, and is set in Prague. It follows Langdon and Solomon as they chase a missing manuscript tied to human consciousness and a secret CIA project, Age of The Nerd reports.
Hall and Spector Bring Real Romance to Langdon's World
Hall, 44, will play Katherine Solomon, a noetic scientist and Langdon's girlfriend in the series. Noetic science studies how the mind can affect the physical world — a key theme in Brown's novel. Just Jared notes that Hall and Spector have worked together before on films including *Christine* and *Permission*.
Spector takes over the role of Robert Langdon from Tom Hanks, who played the Harvard symbologist in *The Da Vinci Code*, *Angels & Demons*, and *Inferno*. Casting a real married couple in the two lead roles is a rare move for a major streaming thriller, Geektown noted.
Prague Conspiracy Mixes Futuristic Science With Ancient Mystery
The story is set largely in Prague and centers on a missing manuscript, a covert CIA project, and questions about human consciousness. Age of The Nerd describes the series as blending futuristic science with mystical lore to build suspense and international intrigue.
Brown's novel is his sixth Langdon book and his most recent, published in 2025. The Prague setting gives the show a fresh European backdrop, different from the Rome and Paris locations used in the film trilogy.
Dan Brown Returns as Co-Creator Behind the Camera
Brown is not just lending his name to the project. He serves as a co-creator and executive producer on the series, Indian Broadcasting World reports. Showrunners Carlton Cuse, Emma Forman, and Zoe Robyn are leading the writers' room.
Cuse is a proven hand at adapting complex thrillers for TV, known for his work on *Lost* and *Jack Ryan*. Having Brown directly involved as co-creator gives the production a direct line to the source material and its lore.
Netflix Expands Its Grip on the Langdon Franchise
The series is currently untitled in early announcements, Geektown confirms, even though it is based on a book called *The Secret of Secrets*. Netflix has not yet set a release date for the show.
The move signals Netflix's ambition to build the Langdon universe as an ongoing franchise on its platform. With Hall now confirmed alongside Spector, the core cast is in place for what could become a multi-season mystery series drawing on Brown's full library of Langdon novels.
