Yankees Game 2 Pressure

Yankees Turn to Ace Cam Schlittler Facing Must-Win Game 2 Against Rays

The New York Yankees are facing a tough challenge in Game 2 of the American League Division Series, following a 1-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. The numbers suggest that the Yankees cannot afford to lose this game, as in major-league history, teams falling behind 0-1 in a best-of-five series have only won just 44 out of 160 times (27.5 percent), and only 10 out of 91 teams have recovered from an 0-2 deficit. The Yankees will turn to their best pitcher, Cam Schlittler, who is the overwhelming favorite to win the AL Cy Young Award. Despite not having much success against the Rays, several of their hitters have performed well against Rays Game 2 starter Freddy Peralta.
