Pat McAfee Pledges One Million Dollars to Iowa Childrens Hospital Following Backlash

Pat McAfee has pledged to increase his donation to the University of Iowa's Stead Family Children's Hospital following criticism over a controversial donation he made to the hospital. The issue arose during the episode of "College GameDay" on the Saturday, Oct. 3, where McAfee offered a $1 million donation to that week's kicker, Finley Banfig, and $1M to the children's hospital. After she initially failed her challenge of kicking a 33-yard field goal, McAfee brought in former Iowa football tight end Dallas Clark to perform a reduced donation of $150,000 each to Banfig and the hospital, securing a reduced $150K each. McAfee responded by thanking the hospital for its hospitality and the care it provides its patients.
