TSMC Considers Texas Chip Investment Alongside Massive Arizona Expansion

Taiwanese company, TSMC, is considering investing in chip manufacturing in Texas alongside a $265 billion expansion to the state of Arizona, which is already receiving hundreds of billions in funding. The potential investments would add to the $265bn already planned for Arizona, according to two sources. This follows an additional $100 billion in investments announced in Arizona in July, bringing the total investment in the state to $265billion. The funds will be used to build semiconductor manufacturing facilities and research centers. No final decision on the potential investment has been made yet.
