At Least Ten Dead and Sixty Injured in Accidental Bolivian Military Barracks Blast

At least 60 people were injured and 10 people died in an accidental pyrotechnic explosion at a military barracks in Viacha, La Paz department, according to Bolivia's government and regional health authorities. The explosion occurred at the General Maintenance Center of the Motorized Air Regiment 2 (RAM-2) “Bolívar,” located 35 kilometers from the city of La Pz. The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the detonated material was part of the ministry's assignment and inventory and is currently investigating the circumstances of the explosion. The injured include civilians, military personnel, pre-military personnel, and some police officers. Eight people were treated for injuries of great magnitude, while six minors sustained minor injuries.
