Lea Salonga becomes the first Filipina honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Lea Salonga, an award-winning actress and singer, became the first Filipina to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, marking a milestone in her career that includes Broadway, music and film. The unveiling ceremony was attended by friend and Disney colleague Ming-Na Wen and Salonga. Salonga's career spanned Broadway and music, and she won the Tony Award for best actress in a musical in 1991 for Miss Saigon. She is also known as the singing voice of Princess Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin and a Disney Legend in 2011.
