Communities and Organizations Host Family-Friendly Trunk-or-Treat Events Throughout October

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office event is free and will run from 5 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot at 140 Blountville Bypass; children are encouraged to bring buckets for candy.
At Hi Road Drive-In, gates open at 5:30 p.m., trunk-or-treating begins at 6:15 p.m. and the free mystery movie starts at 7 p.m. A limited number of reservations remain; participating businesses may hand out candy and promote themselves but cannot sell products.
Bay College’s event is organized by its Student Nurses Association, with health students and faculty participating; trunk decorating is optional, and prizes will go to the first-, second- and third-place displays.
In Erie County, McKean Hose Company’s first trunk-or-treat will charge a $3 donation for each child age 3 or older, while children 2 and under may attend free. The donation includes candy, a pumpkin, a drink and a snack.
