Regan Hutsell from Texas is Crowned as the New Miss America 2027

Regan Hutsell from Texas has been crowned Miss America 2027, becoming the 99th woman to wear the crown and sash, according to Yahoo News. She was crowned on September 6 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, by outgoing titleholder Cassie Donegan of New York.
Hutsell will receive $50,000 in scholarships as part of her victory prize and will make appearances representing the pageant throughout her reign, News Journal Online reported. She competed against delegates from all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Regan Hutsell's victory marks a significant moment for Texas in the Miss America pageant. Palm Beach Post confirmed she defeated dozens of other state delegates to claim the 2027 title. The crown passes to Hutsell after Cassie Donegan completed her year-long reign as Miss America 2026.
The September 6 pageant brought together representatives from every U.S. state and territory for one of the year's biggest beauty competitions. Held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the event drew competitors and spectators who watched the crowning of America's newest ambassador, Herald Tribune reported. The pageant has a long tradition of finding young women to represent the nation.
As the new Miss America, Hutsell will enjoy significant financial support for her future. The $50,000 scholarship package The Ledger noted is a key benefit of winning the national crown. Beyond the money, she will spend her year traveling and appearing at events as the official face of the Miss America Organization.
