Angels Prospect Kyren Paris Works to Prove He Belongs in the Majors

Kyren Paris, a 24-year-old player for the Angels, has yet to prove his worth in the majors. Paris initially performed well, batting.400 with five home runs and five stolen bases in his first 13 games, but was demoted to the minors for the rest of the season and wouldn't be recalled until rosters expanded to 28 players on Sept. 1. He made some adjustments to his swing in July, including closing his stance to be more square and reducing his leg kick. Paris has been successful in Triple-A, slashing.335/.436/.629 with 12 home runs in 44 games since the start of July. Manager Kurt Suzuki sees Paris as a super-utility player who can play all three positions.
