UBS Asset Management Americas LLC opened a new position in SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) in the first quarter, with the investment valued at about $16.0 million.
Robertson Stephens Wealth Management LLC boosted its IUSV stake by 422.5% in the fourth quarter, bringing its holdings to 61,602 shares worth roughly $6.32 million.
Atlantic Edge Private Wealth Management LLC increased its IUSV position by 140.3% in the fourth quarter, to 10,815 shares worth about $1.11 million.
NestYield Total Return Guard ETF (EGGS) is now Centaurus Financial’s 7th largest holding, accounting for about 1.7% of its portfolio with 1,044,784 shares valued at roughly $36.23 million.
In iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (EFA), major banks increased their stakes during the 4th quarter, including Bank of America (40,215,965 shares), Morgan Stanley (31,617,599), JPMorgan Chase (21,517,515), Northern Trust (21,303,587), and Northwestern Mutual Investment Management Company (15,736,766).
Gateway Wealth Partners LLC made a new bet on U.S. value stocks in the first quarter, buying 6,921 shares of the iShares Core S&P U.S. Value ETF (IUSV) worth about $708,000, according to Watchlist News.
The move is part of a wave of ETF activity across institutional investors. Centaurus Financial Inc. stood out with sweeping changes to its portfolio — cutting gold, adding Treasury bonds, and pushing deeper into international stocks and alternative funds.
Gateway Wealth Partners was not alone in eyeing IUSV. Several other firms adjusted their stakes in the fund during recent quarters, according to Watchlist News. Robertson Stephens Wealth Management LLC surged into the ETF — boosting its position by 422.5% in the fourth quarter alone, bringing its total to 61,602 shares worth roughly $6.32 million.
Atlantic Edge Private Wealth Management LLC also moved aggressively, growing its IUSV stake by 140.3% in Q4 to reach 10,815 shares valued at about $1.11 million. High Probability Advisors, Duncan Williams Asset Management, and Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management also adjusted their IUSV positions, reflecting broad interest in U.S. value exposure.
Centaurus Financial made one of its sharpest moves in gold. The firm cut its SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) position by 25.5% in Q1, leaving it with 31,329 shares worth about $13.48 million, per Watchlist News. At the same time, UBS Asset Management Americas LLC opened a brand-new GLD position worth about $16.0 million.
While pulling back on gold, Centaurus Financial leaned hard into short-term Treasuries. The firm added 11,801 shares of the iShares 0-3 Month Treasury Bond ETF (SGOV), growing that stake by 10.7% to 121,864 shares worth roughly $12.27 million. Short-duration Treasury ETFs like SGOV are often used to park cash with minimal risk.
Centaurus Financial also made a big push into international stocks. The firm grew its iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (EFA) position by 54.7% in Q1, reaching 82,282 shares worth around $7.99 million, according to Watchlist News. EFA tracks stocks from developed markets in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Big banks hold massive EFA stakes — Bank of America holds 40.2 million shares, Morgan Stanley 31.6 million, and JPMorgan Chase 21.5 million.
On the alternative side, Centaurus boosted its NestYield Total Return Guard ETF (EGGS) stake by 8% to 1,044,784 shares worth about $36.23 million. EGGS is now the firm's 7th largest holding, making up roughly 1.7% of its total portfolio. The firm also raised its iShares Core S&P Mid-Cap ETF (IJH) stake by 8.5%, bringing that holding to about $16.95 million.
Taken together, these filings paint a clear picture. Centaurus Financial is actively rebalancing — moving money away from gold and toward short-term bonds, international equities, and alternative ETFs. That kind of shift often signals a more cautious but diversified outlook, with less reliance on any single asset class.
Gateway Wealth's new IUSV stake adds U.S. value stocks to its mix. Value ETFs like IUSV focus on stocks that trade at lower prices relative to their earnings. The $708,000 position is modest, but it joins a pattern of institutions steadily adding value exposure heading into mid-2025.
