New Lakers PA Announcer

Derrin Horton replaces legendary Lawrence Tanter as new Lakers public address announcer.

Derrin Horton has been named the new Lakers public address announcer, succeeding Lawrence Tanter, who was the franchise's PA for 40 years. Horton, who has previously worked with Fox Sports and NFL TV Network, will announce his first Lakers game on Oct. 8 against the Sacramento Kings at Crypto.com Arena. This is Horton's first job as a PA, after graduating from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He hopes to maintain Tanter's legacy and focus on being informative and entertaining for the fans.
