In a separate drug case, New York State Police stopped a 2023 Jeep near Exit 25 of the westbound State Thruway in Schenectady County at 8:43 p.m. for a traffic violation. A K-9 unit alerted officers to narcotics inside the vehicle. Police arrested passenger Peter Moore, 39, after discovering more than 100 grams of cocaine concealed in the Jeep.
Moore was arraigned in Rotterdam Town Court and remanded to Schenectady County Jail. He faces two counts of third-degree criminal possession. The vehicle's driver received traffic citations and was released; the Jeep was towed.
