IHG brings its premium Noted Collection brand to Tokyo with two new properties.

IHG Hotels & Resorts is bringing its Noted Collection premium brand to Japan with two Tokyo properties, marking the brand’s first entry into the East Asia and Pacific region. A 207-room existing hotel in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho district, developed with SC Capital Partners, will be renovated and rebranded before its planned 2027 opening. In partnership with An Consulting, IHG will also build an 81-room hotel in Ginza, scheduled to open in 2029 and representing the brand’s first new-build property in Japan as well as IHG’s first hotel in Ginza. The hotels are intended to retain distinct identities reflecting their neighborhoods while joining IHG’s commercial platform and loyalty program.
The Shinjuku hotel is near Golden Gai, as well as local shopping, dining and entertainment venues.
Plans for the Shinjuku property include connecting its lobby with the restaurant and café to create a shared space for guests.
The Ginza hotel is planned to include family-friendly suites, a restaurant and bar, and a fitness centre; it will be within walking distance of Shimbashi and Ginza stations.
IHG executive Abhijay Sandilya said hotel owners increasingly seek flexible brand arrangements that let properties retain individuality while benefiting from IHG’s global scale, commercial platform and loyalty programme.
