Nevada Mining Projects Advance With New Aerial Drone Surveys For Critical Minerals

Peloton Minerals has begun a drone-based airborne magnetic survey covering the southern half of its 53-square-kilometer North Elko Lithium and critical minerals project in northeastern Nevada. The 372-kilometer survey will be combined with magnetic data collected from the northern half in 2024–25, along with recent electromagnetic and soil-geochemistry work, to refine drill targets for a planned fall 2026 campaign. Separately, Millennium Silver has mobilized a high-resolution UAV magnetic survey at its Silver Peak silver-gold project in Esmeralda County, covering about 420 line-kilometers around the historic Nivloc and 16-to-1 mines. The survey is intended to map mineralized structures and satellite veins ahead of Millennium’s 2026 resource-expansion drilling, with interpretation expected about six weeks after fieldwork; the company says less than 20% of the more than 2,500-meter Nivloc structure has been tested.
Peloton Minerals raised $1,442,249.91 through a private placement that closed in July 2026, with proceeds earmarked for lithium and critical-minerals exploration in northern Nevada and working capital.
The North Elko project is immediately adjacent to property held by Surge Battery Metals, which has established a lithium-in-clay resource, providing a nearby exploration context for Peloton’s project.
Millennium’s Inferred Mineral Resource on the Nivloc Structure totals 2.653 million tonnes grading 96.85 grams per tonne silver and 0.67 grams per tonne gold; the structure remains open along strike and at depth.
Before launching the Silver Peak survey, Millennium received U.S. Bureau of Land Management acceptance for a diamond-drilling Exploration Notice valid through Aug. 12, 2028, and hired Robison Engineering Company to develop water infrastructure. The company plans at least 10 drill holes from as many as five pads during its 2026 program.
Millennium CEO Robert Drago described the drone survey as “the lowest-impact way to put a modern structural map under Nivloc and the untested strike beyond it,” saying the results would help focus the 2026 drill program.
