Trump encourages Republicans to use mail-in and early voting despite past opposition

President Donald Trump has encouraged Republicans to vote in the midterm elections, despite previously opposing both mail and early voting methods. In a pre-recorded video posted on his Truth Social account, he urged Republicans to use these methods, despite previous efforts to limit mail-in voting. This comes as the president's midterm strategy has largely focused on turning out his base and not on persuading undecided voters. Despite claiming that mail-In voting has resulted in extensive fraud, Trump has continued to vote by mail himself. The Supreme Court recently rejected a proposal to change how mail ballots are sent to voters before the midterm election. Despite this, the president’s campaign has launched “Swamp The Vote USA” to promote absentee, mail-ins and early voter.
