Ripple Integrates XRP With Stripe, Tempo AI Standards

The earlier version of the starter kit, launched June 10, enabled AI clients such as Anthropic’s Claude to create wallets, monitor transactions and process real-time XRP Ledger payments without human intervention.

Under MPP, a service can return a price in response to an AI agent’s request; the agent then authorizes payment and receives the requested data or resource, creating a pay-as-you-go process for machine-initiated services.
XRPL’s appeal for automated payments includes reported settlement times of three to five seconds, predictable fees and a native decentralized exchange, according to Crypto Briefing.
Ripple’s effort is part of a broader industry push: Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines consortium includes more than 30 partners, including Ripple, Stripe and Coinbase, to develop infrastructure for agent-driven commerce.
Ripple has expanded its AI toolkit to let XRP work with Stripe and Tempo's Machine Payments Protocol, enabling AI agents to buy data and computing power on their own. CoinGape reported that the XRPL AI Starter Kit now supports both XRP and Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin, letting artificial intelligence systems pay for services automatically without human approval.
The move positions XRP as a settlement tool for machine-to-machine transactions. Under Stripe and Tempo's Machine Payments Protocol, an AI agent requests a service, receives a price quote, and authorizes payment instantly. CoinDoo explained that the agent then gets the data or resource without needing human approval. This creates a pay-as-you-go system where machines handle transactions end-to-end.
