Granahan Investment Management LLC made bold moves in the first quarter, sharply increasing stakes in OrthoPediatrics, CAVA Group, and Allegro MicroSystems while cutting its position in Cellebrite DI by nearly half, according to Watchlist News.
The Massachusetts-based firm's biggest swing was in Allegro MicroSystems, where it grew its position by 139.3% to 215,001 shares — worth roughly $6.78 million. The moves signal a broad strategic rebalancing across healthcare and tech names.
Granahan added 232,760 shares of OrthoPediatrics Corp. in Q1, lifting its total to 896,741 shares, according to Watchlist News. That stake is now worth about $14.23 million. The firm grew its holding by 35.1% in a single quarter.
CAVA Group also got a major bump. Granahan raised its position by 31.7% to 303,891 shares, valued at roughly $24.59 million. CAVA now ranks 21st among the firm's holdings, making up about 0.26% of its total portfolio, Watchlist News reported.
Granahan sold 1,317,374 shares of Cellebrite DI Ltd. in Q1, cutting its stake by 43.1% to 1,739,644 shares, according to Watchlist News. The firm still holds about $23.97 million in the digital intelligence company.
The trimming came alongside an executive sale at Cellebrite. CEO Thomas E. Hogan sold 103,188 shares at an average price of $15.76 per share, pulling in about $1.63 million. Insider sales of that size can signal caution at the executive level.
Granahan nearly doubled its Allegro MicroSystems position — up 139.3% — to reach 215,001 shares worth around $6.78 million, per Watchlist News. The move makes Allegro one of the firm's fastest-growing positions by share count this quarter.
Separately, Allegro's Chief Accounting Officer Roald Graham Webster sold 5,217 shares in a related trade, according to Watchlist News. Granahan also raised its Stoke Therapeutics stake by 75.3%, to a holding valued at $10.93 million, rounding out its healthcare bets.
Not every position grew. Granahan cut its JFrog Ltd. stake by 13.6% to 130,103 shares, worth about $6.11 million. That holding now equals roughly 0.11% of JFrog's total outstanding shares, Watchlist News noted.
Granahan also nudged up its Zymeworks position by 11.7%, adding 26,365 shares for a total of 250,773, according to Ticker Report. That smaller move shows the firm is still adding selectively in biotech, even as it cuts elsewhere.
