India routs Bangladesh 10-0 in hockey to set up a semifinal clash against Pakistan.

India defeated Bangladesh 10-0 in their final men’s hockey pool match at the Asian Games, completing a five-win campaign to top Pool A. Harmanpreet Singh scored a hat trick, with Abhishek, Jugraj Singh, Sukhjeet Singh, Lakra Shilanand, Sanjay and Mandeep Singh also scoring. India will meet Pakistan in the semifinals on October 1, while Malaysia face South Korea.
India entered the match as the defending champions of the men’s hockey competition.
India had secured a semifinal berth before facing Bangladesh, so the 10-0 result completed their pool campaign rather than determining whether they advanced.
The scoring began with Abhishek, followed by Jugraj Singh’s goal in the 22nd minute and captain Harmanpreet Singh’s first in the 27th minute.
India added three goals late in the match: Sanjay scored in the 59th minute and Mandeep Singh completed the scoring in the 60th.
