Baltimore Ravens Edge Rusher Trey Hendrickson Will Miss Titans Game After Finger Procedure

Baltimore Ravens edge rusher Trey Hendrickson will sit out Sunday's game against Tennessee after undergoing a finger procedure, coach Jesse Minter announced. WJLA reported that Hendrickson did not practice all week following the surgery. The injury marks another blow to a Ravens pass rush that has struggled early this season.
Hendrickson is among several Ravens sidelined for the Titans matchup. Fox Baltimore confirmed that defensive lineman Ethan Pocic, wide receiver Zay Flowers, and linebacker Jovaughn Gwyn are also unavailable. The team signed Hendrickson in the offseason to strengthen their defense, but he has recorded just one sack through three games.
Hendrickson's absence leaves a significant gap in Baltimore's defensive line. WRAL noted the edge rusher needed a procedure to address the finger problem. This comes as the Ravens have generated minimal pressure through their first three games of the season.
The Ravens injury list extends beyond Hendrickson for Sunday. Pocic, a starting lineman, joins Flowers and Gwyn on the sidelines. TSN reported that these absences could further limit Baltimore's ability to execute on both sides of the ball against the Titans.
The Ravens brought in Hendrickson during the offseason to bolster their pass rush. However, the edge rusher has failed to make an immediate impact. MyMotherLode reported that Hendrickson has managed just one sack in three games so far, well below expectations for a player signed to anchor the defense.
