Salma Hayek Pinault and Pamela Abdy Named Among WIF Honors Recipients

Pamela Abdy, Adria Arjona, Beth de Araújo, Gemma Chan and Salma Hayek Pinault will be honored at the WIF Honors ceremony on Nov. 5. The gala, which funds the organization's advocacy, research and career programs, will be held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Abdy will receive WIF’s inaugural Vanguard Award, recognising her career at Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group. The Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film will go to filmmaker de Araujo and Chan for their collaboration on “Josephine,” a drama about a young girl who accidentally witnesses a devastating crime in Golden Gate Park. Jane Fonda will present the Humanitarian Award to Academy Award-winning Academy winner Hayek Peinault.
