Kawasaki Revitalizes Motocross Lineup with New Fuel-Injected KX327 Two-Stroke and Enhanced 2027 Models

Kawasaki has unveiled its 2027 KX motocross lineup, highlighted by the all-new KX327 two-stroke and the KX327X for off-road use, both built around a modern 327cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. The bikes return Kawasaki to the 250+cc 2-stroke segment for the first time in more than two decades, using a KX450F-derived aluminum perimeter frame and fuel-injection designed for smooth, predictable power from ultra-low to mid rpm across changing conditions. Kawasaki says the setup combines traditional 2-stroke character with improved controllability, including a flat torque curve and the simplicity of pre-mix lubrication. Alongside the new 2-strokes, Kawasaki’s 2027 KX450F receives major engine updates and a redesigned chassis/suspension aimed at stronger throttle response and more compliant, stable handling over varied terrain. The KX250F also gets key improvements, including a revised frame for better balance and updated engine torque delivery to support acceleration and maneuverability in races. Kawasaki’s official lineup details place the new generation bikes for release in late 2026, including a U.S. MSRP for the KX327, while the broader KX450F and KX250F updates target a more race-focused, refined performance package.
Kawasaki says the KX327/KX327X fuel-injection system is designed to keep fuel delivery stable despite outside air temperature and atmospheric pressure changes.
Motocross Action Magazine’s first look notes rider-fit adjustability on the KX327—specifically an adjustable seat height and handlebar positioning—so owners can tailor comfort and control.
RacerX Online reports Kawasaki’s teaser context and additional confirmation details, including that the KX327/KX327X are fuel-injected two-strokes with aluminum perimeter frames and “premium suspension components,” plus that Kawasaki’s KX450 four-stroke update includes a new frame with a longer wheelbase.
