Gears of War E-Day goes gold with preloads beginning September 29 ahead of October launch

The Coalition said it has continued improving PC stability and performance since the July Multiplayer Open Beta, iterating across a wide range of hardware configurations before finalizing the launch specifications.
Gears of War: E-Day will use Unreal Engine 5’s MegaLights technology, enabling hundreds of shadow-casting lights in the game.
The game supports Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players who purchase the Xbox version to access it across supported Xbox and PC platforms.
The Coalition has also published the game’s complete achievement list ahead of launch.
The final PC specifications indicate that the 1080p/60 FPS target uses a Medium preset and upscaling, while the 1440p and 4K/60 FPS targets use High and Ultra presets respectively; performance may vary with hardware, background tasks and the selected super-resolution technology.
