Users across multiple states saw an 'SOS' signal on their devices — meaning no network connection — as both T-Mobile and its partner carriers like Mint Mobile and Boost were affected. As of early evening, T-Mobile had not explained the cause or offered a restoration timeline.

That tracking site records when users self-report problems, so the real number of affected customers was likely far higher.
