Barratt Redrow Reports Rising Annual Profit But Cuts Its Outlook Amid Housing Market Pressures

Barratt Redrow expects average sales outlets to fall to about 405 in fiscal 2027, down from its previous estimate of 415, because of continued planning delays.
The completed Redrow integration has delivered £73 million of the company’s £100 million annual cost-synergy target. Barratt Redrow also plans to open 18 additional sales outlets in fiscal 2027, following 12 openings during fiscal 2026.
The company proposed a final dividend of 1.0 pence per share, sharply below the 12.1 pence paid a year earlier.
Barratt Redrow paid £242.2 million in dividends and completed £100 million in share buybacks during the year while still ending with £772.8 million in net cash.
Chair Caroline Silver said the outlook deteriorated after the conflict in the Middle East began at the end of February, citing risks to energy costs, supply chains and inflation that made buyers more cautious and intensified affordability pressures.
