Deadly Mudslide Leaves 11 Missing in China Following Tropical Storm Saudel

A mudslide has killed one person and left 11 others missing in eastern China due to torrential rain brought by tropical cyclone Saudel. The mudslift hit part of a village in Suichuan County in Jiangxi province, prompting rescuers to relocate residents to safer ground to prevent further danger. One person pulled out was found dead, while two others were rescued alive and in good condition. In Fujian, multiple residents are unaccounted for after days of heavy rain, causing over 100 houses to collapse. About 600,000 residents have been evacuated from risky offshore and onshore areas in Fujian Province.
