UCF unveils 10th annual Space Game uniforms honoring NASA's historic space programs.

UCF unveiled its 10th annual Space Game uniforms, which the Knights will wear against Baylor on Oct. 30, 2026. Dubbed “Mission X,” the all-white design honors NASA’s Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs, with details including spacesuit-inspired stitching and colors, Apollo-style helmet accents and references to the university’s original name, Florida Technological University. The tradition celebrates UCF’s 1963 founding to help supply personnel for the nearby Kennedy Space Center and its continuing ties to the space program. UCF is 8-1 in Space Games, with its first loss coming in 2025.
The jersey includes 10 Polaris stars—one for each Space Game—and the phrase “Property of Florida Technological University 1963” inside its front numbers.
The shoulder patches echo those worn during the Gemini missions, and the Space Game patch is modeled on the patch from Gemini X.
UCF says 29% of Kennedy Space Center employees are alumni; university faculty and students have also worked on 591 NASA projects since the 1990s, and the school offers more than 35 space-related degrees.
Fans can bid on authentic uniforms in an auction running from noon Oct. 20 to noon Nov. 2; Mission X patches, helmet decal sheets and other commemorative items were scheduled to go on sale Oct. 5.
