Cody Bellinger and the Yankees Advance to the ALDS After Defeating Boston

Cody Bellinger, the left-handers of the New York Yankees, led them to the American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays after a 9-2 Game 2 victory over the Boston Red Sox. Bellinger's three-run homer in the sixth inning effectively closed the door on Boston Red. His father, Clay, threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 2. Bellingers, who has a career average of.268 against left-handed pitching, said there isn't a formula to his success against southpaws. Despite the margin of victory against their AL East rivals, Yankees manager Aaron Boone expressed surprise at the margin.
