Foo Fighters will join AC/DC for a rescheduled concert at MetLife Stadium.

Foo Fighters will open for AC/DC at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Oct. 2, after the band’s Sept. 25 Power Up Tour date was postponed because of a nor’easter. The appearance gives the Foo Fighters a second chance to share the bill with their hard-rock heroes, following a last-minute opening slot in St. Louis earlier in September. Tickets for the original New Jersey date will be honored, and the concert is the final stop on AC/DC’s tour.
The Foo Fighters’ first St. Louis opening slot happened because The Pretty Reckless could not play; singer Taylor Momsen was in Seattle to perform with surviving Soundgarden members at the Seahawks’ home opener.
Dave Grohl called opening for AC/DC a “huge f****** bucket list check” and said he was especially eager to finish the set and watch the band perform.
Tickets for the MetLife show were still available through Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $73.
Before heading to East Rutherford, AC/DC was scheduled to play Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
