Huskies Rookie Keaton Belsher Shines in Memorable Home Debut Against Calgary Dinos

Katon Belsher, a rookie for the Huskies, performed well in his home debut in a 44-24 home-opener win over the Calgary Dinos. Belshers, who broke records during a high-school career with the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones, collected seven catches for 180 yards and two touchdowns. This was only his second career game at the university level. The Homecoming contest was attended by 8,052 spectators and featured the halftime toga run. Huskies' quarterback Anton Amundrud praised Belscher's athletic ability and athletic prowess. Other notable performances included a record-breaking return of a missed field goal by a returner from Daniel Kubongo, who ran the ball back 123 yards for a touchdown.
