Several Key NFL Players Return to Full Practice Ahead of Week 2 Matchups

Falcons safety Billy Bowman has been recovering from an Achilles tear suffered in November 2025 and is expected to play a major role in Atlanta’s secondary this season if he returns in Week 2.
Saints coach Kellen Moore said he feels good about Alvin Kamara’s chances of suiting up against Baltimore. Kamara’s return could reduce Kendre Miller’s workload and slightly decrease opportunities for Travis Etienne Jr.
Rashee Rice remains listed on Kansas City’s injury report, but the knee issue is considered minor; he will also be looking to rebound from an underwhelming Week 1 performance.
Jalen McMillan had been managing his knee issue since early August and was limited to three practices the previous week. If he returns, he and rookie third-round pick Ted Hurst are expected to compete for three-receiver snaps behind Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin.
Five NFL players logged full practices Wednesday, signaling a strong chance they will return in Week 2. Fantasy Pros reported that Saints running back Alvin Kamara, Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan, Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and Falcons safety Billy Bowman all practiced without limitations. Each player missed time due to injury but appears ready to contribute this weekend.
Alvin Kamara sat out the Saints' 31-30 overtime loss to Detroit in Week 1 after spraining his MCL during a joint practice with Dallas on August 18. Yahoo Sports reported that New Orleans faces Baltimore on September 2. Saints coach Kellen Moore feels confident about Kamara's status. His return could trim workload for backup running backs and reshape the Saints' rushing attack.
Falcons safety Billy Bowman missed Week 1 while recovering from an Achilles tear suffered in November 2025. His full practice Wednesday suggests he is ready to debut in Atlanta's secondary. Bowman is expected to play a major role in the Falcons' defense if cleared. His return would bolster an Atlanta secondary that struggled in the opener.
Rashee Rice remains on Kansas City's injury report with a minor knee issue but practiced fully Wednesday. Fantasy Pros said the Chiefs expect him to play against Jacksonville. Rice will look to bounce back from an underwhelming Week 1 performance. Jalen McMillan managed his knee injury since early August and practiced fully this week after three limited sessions previously.
Browns receiver Jerry Jeudy also practiced fully after tweaking his wrist. Fantasy Pros reported he is expected to play against Tampa Bay, though he carries weak fantasy upside in the matchup. All three players appear positioned to return for their respective teams' Week 2 contests.
