Iceland Foods plans to open its first UK high-street store in the Falklands.

The store will be located at K4, Ross Road East, in Stanley, rather than only generally on Ross Road East.
Fortuna managing director James Wallace said the family-owned business was “delighted” to partner with Iceland and that the venture would “directly benefit the people of the Falkland Islands.”
Kelper Stores general manager Sarah Clarke described the project as “a major milestone for the Falklands” and said the franchise would offer customers a wider product range and better value for money.
The Legislative Assembly’s position is supported by the 2013 referendum, in which about 1,513 residents voted overwhelmingly to remain a British overseas territory: 99.8% voted in favour, while only three voted against.
Argentina’s President Javier Milei reportedly vowed to “reclaim” the territory in a televised speech on September 3, providing a specific backdrop to the renewed sovereignty dispute.
