Michael Jordan Game 3 Finals Jersey Sells For Record 12 Million

Michael Jordan's game-worn jersey from Game 3 of the 1998 NBA Finals was auctioned at a record-breaking $12,260,000. The jersey was sold by Rob Gough via Joopiter, a digital marketplace and auction house curated by Pharrell Williams. It was projected to sell between $10 million to $15 million and received one bid before closing. The final price marked a new record for an NBA jersey sale, surpassing Jordan's Game 1 jersey from the same 1998 series in 2022 at $10.1 million at Sotheby's. The player was registered in August, authenticated by MeiGray in December 2015, and photo-matched to two specific photos from Getty Images.
