Thieves Steal Over 800 Barrels of Guinness Worth £115,000 From UK Depot

Police in Cheshire have launched an appeal after thieves stole over 70,000 pints worth of Guinness from a depot in Runcorn. Around 800 barrels of the stout, valued at £115,000, were taken in two HGV trailers from an industrial estate. The stolen barrels were intended to be delivered to pubs and the total value of the stolen items is estimated at around £205,000. The police are appealing for witnesses who saw a lorry entering the Aston Lane area at around 7.45pm and then leaving the site at about 9.12pm. The trucks are described as white tri-axle curtain side trailers with branding for logistics company GXO.
