Emotional Debut Victory

Yale quarterback Dante Reno throws four touchdowns in victorious first game since his father's death.

Dante Reno, the son of former Yale football coach Tony Reno, performed well in his first game since his father's death. He threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns as Yale defeated Merrimack 41-24. Tony Reno had coached the Bulldogs for 13 seasons and stepped down in February after taking a medical leave due to an illness. Dante Reno praised his father for his commitment to the program and his dedication to football. He led the Bulldogs to a Football Championship Subdivision playoff appearance and first-round victory last year.
