FBI and RCMP Offer One Million Dollar Reward for Fugitive Goldy Brar

The FBI has added Satinderjeet Singh, known as Goldy Brar, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and, with the RCMP, is offering up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest. U.S. authorities allege Brar is a North American leader of the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group, which they link to killings, shootings, kidnappings, extortion, and drug and weapons trafficking in the United States and Canada. Brar faces federal charges including racketeering conspiracy, extortion-related offenses, and drug-distribution conspiracy; investigators say he helped direct the group’s members and associates internationally. He is also accused in connection with the 2023 killing of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The FBI warns that Brar should be considered armed and dangerous.
The FBI raised the reward from $50,000 to $1 million; Brar had previously appeared on the agency’s Most Wanted list.
Brar was among 37 defendants charged in July following Operation Hardball, a years-long investigation into India-based transnational crime groups; the charges involved three such groups.
Indian authorities also seek Brar in connection with several killings, and he has been alleged to be the mastermind behind the 2022 murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala.
After former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged a potential link between Indian government agents and Nijjar’s killing, Canadian police later said they had found no evidence of official Indian involvement.
