Sage Potash reports high-grade potassium chloride results from its latest Utah drill hole.

Sage Potash reported high-grade results from its Peterson 1 drill hole at the Sage Plain project in southeast Utah, with assays above 50% potassium chloride (KCl) in both Upper and Lower Cycle 18 beds. The Upper bed averaged 36.1% KCl across 8.1 meters, including a 3.3-meter section at 52.5%; the Lower bed averaged 36.4% across 5 meters, including 3.1 meters at 53.4%. Together, the Cycle 18 beds averaged 36.3% KCl across 13.1 meters, and the company said the results show continuity with the Johnson 1 hole about one kilometer away. Samples also showed less than 1% insoluble material and minimal carnallite. Sage plans to use the drilling data in an updated resource estimate and further feasibility and engineering studies.
The Peterson 1 hole was drilled about 1 km north-northeast of Johnson 1 to support resource expansion and help delineate measured and indicated resource categories.
A barren halite interval about 12.8 m thick separates the Cycle 18 beds at Peterson 1, closely matching the roughly 12.5 m interval at Johnson 1.
RESPEC LLC was engaged to incorporate the new drilling data into an updated NI 43-101 resource estimate, which Article 1 says was scheduled for delivery within 45 days.
Eight one-foot core sections remained awaiting laboratory assays after geomechanical testing; gamma-ray results were used to determine their potash content.
