The Seattle Seahawks plan to bring back their iconic white throwback uniforms for the 2027 season.

The white jerseys were worn on the road from 1983 through 2001, before Seattle moved to the NFC West and introduced a new uniform design in 2002.
The returning white throwback will feature blue shoulder numbers, the team’s hawk logo striped along the sleeves, and blue-and-green striping on the silver pants.
Seattle fans had been “waiting and asking” for the white jerseys to return since the royal-blue and silver throwbacks were introduced, according to the Seahawks’ official website.
The Seahawks are scheduled to wear their existing blue throwbacks at least three times in the upcoming season: against Denver, Kansas City and Dallas, all in prime-time games.
The Seattle Seahawks will dust off their white throwback uniforms for the 2027 season, completing a retro home-and-road set after a 26-year gap. Vice chair Neal Khosla announced the plan following his family's $9.612 billion purchase of the team from Paul Allen's estate SportsLogos. The white jerseys, last worn in 2001, feature blue shoulder numbers, silver helmets, and striped sleeves modeled on Seattle's 1990s look Sports Illustrated.
Seattle fans have been asking for this return since the royal-blue throwbacks debuted in 2023 Seahawks Official. But the move creates a uniform puzzle: NFL rules allow only four primary uniform sets. The team may need to retire its lime green alternate unless the league grants an exception SportsLogos.

When Seattle introduced its royal-blue throwback uniforms in 2023, fans immediately wanted the full retro package. "Seahawks fans had been waiting and asking" for the white road version, according to the team's official website Seahawks Official. The Khosla family's takeover of the franchise appears to have accelerated plans to deliver it. The white uniforms will debut in 2027, four seasons after the blue set arrived SportsLogos.
The NFL limits teams to four primary uniform sets. Seattle currently has the navy home, white home, royal-blue throwback, and lime-green alternate. Adding the white throwback means something has to go SportsLogos. The team may petition the league to keep all five, but that would require an exception to the rules. No timeline has been announced for which uniform gets dropped.
Before 2027 arrives, Seattle will wear its royal-blue throwback uniforms at least three times this season. The team has prime-time games scheduled against Denver, Kansas City, and Dallas in the blue retro set SportsLogos.
