Vivo Prepares October Smartphone and Foldable Launches Across India and the Philippines

Vivo is preparing several October launches across India and the Philippines. The X Fold 6 is reportedly set to arrive in India on October 6 with OriginOS 7, up to 12GB of RAM, and a 7,000mAh battery, though Vivo has not confirmed the launch details. Also launching in India on October 6, the V80 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 144Hz OLED display, Zeiss-equipped 50MP cameras, 4K video features, OriginOS 7, and a 7,200mAh battery; reports differ on its expected price, with estimates ranging from about ₹48,000 to above ₹60,000. In the Philippines, the V80 Lite 5G is scheduled to launch October 4 with a 6.83-inch display and a 10,000mAh battery, which Vivo describes as its largest to date.
The X Fold 6 is reported to come in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB configurations and in Prism Black and Nebula Teal; the reported Indian launch time is noon on October 6.
The X Fold 6 is reported to offer 80W wired and 40W wireless charging alongside its 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery; the source describes this as the largest battery currently on a foldable phone.
The V80 is reported to include 3x optical zoom, up to 100x zoom, and 4K video recording at 60 frames per second, as well as AI imaging features including AI Creative Camera and AI Diwali Portrait 2.0.
The V80 is expected to be sold in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black, through Vivo’s website, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retailers.
Vivo says the V80 Lite’s 6.83-inch display has 1.35mm bezels and a 94.47% screen-to-body ratio. Its Philippine launch event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on October 4 at Market! Market! mall in Taguig.
