Philadelphia Eagles Rule Out Wide Receiver DeVonta Smith With Hamstring Injury Against Rams

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith will miss Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a hamstring injury Winnipeg Free Press. Smith caught six passes for 65 yards in the team's loss to Chicago but did not practice this week and failed to play every snap in that game Newsday.
The Eagles will turn to No. 2 receiver Dontayvion Wicks to fill the void. Rookie Makai Lemon and second-year Darius Cooper may also get more playing time. Head coach Nick Sirianni said the team's game plan won't change Las Vegas Sun.
Smith had been productive early in the season with 19 receptions for 235 yards and one touchdown in three games Newsday. His absence marks a significant loss for Philadelphia's offense. The Eagles will lean heavily on their depth chart to compensate.
Dontayvion Wicks becomes the Eagles' top receiver with Smith sidelined. Wicks will take on more routes and responsibilities in the offense. His ability to create separation will be critical against the Rams' defense.
