Pentagon Increases Combat and Danger Pay for Troops for First Time in Decades

The Pentagon has increased the amount of money troops can receive for serving in combat zones, with a maximum of $450 per month for hostile fire pay and individual danger pay increasing to $275 per month. The increase comes amid a potential war with Iran. The maximum for both pay and personal danger pay will increase from $225 per month before.
