Multiple Crashes and Roadwork Cause Severe Traffic Delays Across Several States

Separate crashes disrupted traffic in Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina, Alabama and Colorado, while scheduled roadwork is expected to cause delays in Pennsylvania. In Minnesota, two semis crashed hours apart on eastbound I-94 near Wabasha Street; in Florida, a rollover on southbound I-75 injured at least one person and led to a second crash in the backup. Crashes also blocked eastbound I-16 in Georgia, two southbound lanes of I-75 in Ohio, two southbound lanes of I-85 in South Carolina, one southbound lane of I-59 in Alabama, and left lanes of westbound I-70 in Ohio, where traffic backed up past State Route 202. In South Carolina, another collision blocked eastbound Okatie Highway near Lemon Island Bridge. Near Larkspur, Colorado, a crash involving six to eight vehicles closed northbound I-25 between Spruce Mountain Road and Tomah Road, with no reopening estimate reported. Overnight paving scheduled for Oct. 12–16 is expected to delay traffic on northbound Route 222 near the Route 30 interchange in Pennsylvania; injury details and reopening times remain unavailable for many incidents, and drivers were advised to expect delays or use alternate routes.
