Greenville Two-Car Crash Leaves One Woman Dead and Two Injured

A 71-year-old woman died in a two-car crash in Greenville, North Carolina, on Thursday morning. Sally Yeagly's SUV pulled onto East 10th Street from L.T. Hardee Road and was struck by a silver car traveling east, Police said. Two other people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision happened just before 11:10 a.m. and forced authorities to close East 10th Street, L.T. Hardee Road, and Highway 33 near Black Jack-Simpson Road while they investigated. Police said no charges will be filed in connection with the crash.
Yeagly's SUV was exiting L.T. Hardee Road onto East 10th Street when the silver car hit it. The silver vehicle was moving east on East 10th Street at the moment of impact, Police reported. The crash occurred at a busy intersection during mid-morning traffic.
In addition to Yeagly's death, two people from the vehicles were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police did not release the names or additional details about the other injured parties as of the investigation's conclusion.
Emergency responders closed East 10th Street from the crash site through the Portertown Road intersection. L.T. Hardee Road and Highway 33 near Black Jack-Simpson Road were also shut down. Police kept the roads closed until officers finished documenting the scene and collecting evidence.
Police announced that no charges will be filed as a result of the crash. The decision came after investigators examined the circumstances of how Yeagly's vehicle entered the roadway and was struck by the oncoming silver car.
