Crane Plans $240 Million Trillium U.S. Pump Acquisition

First Reserve acquired Trillium’s flow-control business from Weir Group in 2019 and rebranded it as Trillium; earlier in 2026, it sold Trillium’s French valves operations to Framatome.
Crane reported $1.42 billion in sales during the first half of 2026, providing scale context for the proposed acquisition.
Crane CEO Alex Alcala said the acquisition will add a large installed base generating recurring aftermarket demand, while also expanding the company’s position in highly engineered pump technologies.
Crane said it expects to integrate the acquired brands with its operating system and commercial capabilities to support aftermarket growth and product innovation within its Process Flow Technologies segment.
Crane Company is buying Trillium Flow Technologies' U.S. pump business from private-equity firm First Reserve for approximately $240 million WSJ. The deal values the business at roughly 14.6 times its estimated 2026 adjusted EBITDA and is expected to close by the end of 2026 TipRanks. The acquired pumps are expected to generate about $115 million in revenue in 2026 TradingView.
The acquisition includes four established pump brands: Floway, Wemco, Roto-Jet, and WSP TradingView. These brands primarily serve municipal water and wastewater treatment markets. Crane CEO Alex Alcala said the deal will add a large installed base that generates recurring aftermarket demand TipRanks. The integration will expand Crane's engineered pump offerings and strengthen its exposure to resilient water-related end markets.
First Reserve bought Trillium's flow-control business from Weir Group in 2019 Investing. The private-equity firm has been trimming its Trillium holdings. Earlier in 2026, First Reserve sold Trillium's French valves operations to Framatome Investing. The U.S. pump sale completes another major divestment from the portfolio company.
