XRP Ledger Rebuilt Batch Upgrade Nears Activation Following Validator Support

Reaching the 80% threshold would only start the 14-day activation period; support must remain above the threshold throughout, and the countdown resets if validator approval falls below 80%.
Batch V1.1 has shipped in the xrpld 3.3.0 software but has not yet gone live on the main network, pending the validator voting process.
The feature is designed to support delivery-versus-payment transactions in repo markets, including simultaneous exchanges of tokenized securities and corresponding payments.
Other proposed applications include bundling platform fees with customer payments, combining NFT-for-NFT trades, and grouping decentralized-exchange swaps with different slippage settings so the first successful swap can complete.
RippleX has said commercial projects using Batch are already under contract or in development, although it has not identified the companies involved.
The XRP Ledger is moving toward a major upgrade called Batch V1.1 after validators approved a rebuilt version of the feature. Crypto Ticker reports the amendment is scheduled to activate on September 29, 2026, if validator support holds above the 80% threshold needed. Batch lets users combine up to eight transactions from different accounts into one all-or-nothing operation — enabling atomic swaps, coordinated settlements, and bundled fees without smart contracts.
The original Batch V1.0 was withdrawn before launch after researchers found a signature-validation flaw. The bug could have let attackers skip security checks for later signers and make unauthorized transactions. RippleX overhauled the feature and put the rebuilt version through engineering reviews, security audits, adversarial testing, and automated tests before resubmitting it to validators.
Validator support for Batch V1.1 has risen from 27 of 35 — just below the 80% threshold — to 29 votes, according to available reports. Reaching 80% approval only starts a 14-day countdown period. Support must stay above 80% throughout those two weeks. If approval drops below the threshold, the countdown resets, delaying activation further.
Batch is designed for delivery-versus-payment transactions in repo markets, where buyers and sellers swap tokenized securities and payments at the same time. Other uses include bundling platform fees with customer payments, combining NFT-for-NFT trades, and grouping decentralized-exchange swaps with different slippage settings so the first successful swap can complete without partial fills.
RippleX has announced that commercial projects using Batch are already under contract or in development, though the company has not named the companies involved. The feature shipped in xrpld 3.3.0 software but remains inactive on the main network pending the validator voting process to finish.
