Montana State overcomes injuries to defeat No. 18 Northern Arizona for 19th straight win.

Montana State overcame the late loss of starting quarterback Justin Lamson and leading receiver Taco Dowler to beat No. 18 Northern Arizona 28-14 at Homecoming. Backup quarterback Patrick Duchien Jr. accounted for three touchdowns, running back Colson Coon rushed for 199 yards, and freshman receiver Carter Dahlke had seven catches for 117 yards and a score. The Bobcats’ defense stopped Northern Arizona on fourth-and-goal twice in the fourth quarter, extending Montana State’s winning streak to 19 games.
Patrick Duchien Jr. completed 16 of 20 passes for 204 yards and an interception, while adding 77 rushing yards on nine carries.
Duchien and freshman Carter Dahlke opened the scoring with a 47-yard touchdown on a swing pass, Dahlke’s first touchdown as a Bobcat.
A forced fumble by Bryce Grebe, recovered by Blaine Downing near the red zone, set up Montana State’s eight-play, 86-yard scoring drive in the third quarter.
With Colson Coon taking over his starting role, running back Adam Jones had just one carry for two yards.
